The Village Care Home provides services to cater for your all needs. Whether that be permanent living or for a short stay, contact our team via email or telephone to enquire about our services. The fees which charge for our Services are fully inclusive. We do not charge you or your family third party top ups*

*Third party top-ups are the amount either the Service User or a Third Party payee has agreed to contribute towards the cost of care, as a top-up. This cost will be paid by the funding Council ( if applicable) to the Care Home and will be repaid to the Council by the Service User or a Third Party payee.

Residential Care

What is Residential Care?

Residential Care at The Village Care Home is for older people who require assistance with daily living such as getting dressed or washed.The Village Care Home provides 24-hour residential care and accommodation. Our network of local GP's and nurses can be called in to the care home at any time to administer certain medications, provide nursing services or undertake check ups for those needing treatment.

The key benefits of Residential Care

Residential Care provides those in need with a comfortable and safe space with 24/7 assistance when needed.

Our catering staff provide nutritionally balanced home cooked meals

which guests can eat in one of the lounges or in the privacy of their own suite.

Special dietary requirements can be catered for.

Services such as optical, chiropody, hairdressing, beauty treatments and occupational therapy can also be arranged for guests during their stay.

The Village Care Home can arrange transportation for those who have an appointment or a day out with their loved ones with Station of Taxis of Sunderland. If a carer is required to escort that can also be arranged.

An on-site laundry service is provided however should guests wish to undertake their own laundry this can be arranged.

The Village Care home offers weekly in-house activities which can be carried out with or without staff support. Some examples include, gentle exercise classes, pampering sessions, reminiscence, arts and crafts, bingo and card games.

Residential care is needed for those who are finding it difficult to live independently in their home and are in need of an extra helping hand. Whether that be a family member, loved one or a friend, residential care is the option to take providing those in need a sense of independence, security and 24-hour personal care.
